My name is Emmett Pryor — I’m an NYC-based actor, musician, and theater artist, and I’ll start with the basics:

I started performing as a jarringly shy kid growing up in Connecticut to push out of my comfort zone. Flash forward to 2022 and I moved to NYC to attend NYU Tisch, graduating in May of 2026 with my BFA in Drama after studying at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and Atlantic Acting School.

I’m in love with creating work that has fingerprints on it — art that feels like it’s been built from the ground up by a team of passionate, creative individuals interested in evoking big feelings and telling grounded, weird, human stories.

I’m a heart-forward performer — I’m addicted to the way that acting gives me access to the emotional highs that otherwise scare me, the permission to connect with others in the most visceral ways I could imagine, and the ability to feel as though I’m letting an audience in on a secret world whenever I perform.

Not much has changed since I was a kid. I’m still an introvert with big feelings, I still believe in art as the ultimate vehicle for connection, and performing still makes my heart happy.
